One of the most powerful things we can do in our lives is tune into the power that is the present moment. You do not create your life in the future. You do not let go of old wounds by reliving them in the past. You do it all right here and now.
The point of power is in the present moment.
In every moment is the power to grow, heal, change, create, release, expand and allow in. Every single moment contains a billions seeds of potential. In every moment is the power to change direction, to choose a new feeling, a new thought, a new outlook on life. It's all right here, the only thing in our way is the belief that nothing ever changes.
A belief that nothing ever changes is what locks us into the illusion that things never change. But look around you. Look around where you are. Things are changing all the time. Buildings must be maintained because they are constantly settling and being altered by the world. Wind, rain and sunshine all deteriorate a buildings exterior. People, temperature and life in general affect its interior.
And if we never did anything for our buildings again? The world would reclaim them, bit by bit. The plants would come in. Animals would move in. They would still continue to change. An entirely new landscape would spring forth on top of and within the old structure.
In the same way, you are also constantly changing. You are evolving, responding, growing and adapting in every moment.
And like a building, you also have the option of maintaining what is, tearing it all down and starting over, or doing nothing and seeing what happens when the natural world fills back in. All options are available to you. All outcomes are possible. But first you've got to believe in the power of the present moment and the power of change.
