In this meditation we're going to take a few minutes to tune into our deepest core belief. This is the belief that, depending on what it is, is either supporting or blocking what you want in life. It's a belief that is usually subtle yet powerful at the same time. It's akin to a river current, unseen but affecting everything that falls into it. We sometimes convince ourselves that if something is as strong and powerful as a river current we'll be aware of it. Unfortunately, the belief is often buried and hidden in the depths of our mind because we don't even remember creating it. It might be something we took on from our parents, something we were taught in school, or something that slowly developed and took root through various experiences. Beliefs that we make later in life, as adults, tend to get piled on top of this underlying core belief. For example, you may have realized as an adult that all body types are beautiful. You don't have to be a certain size or look a certain way in order to celebrate your physical self in every moment. However, you may have taken in the message as a child, perhaps from magazine ads and comments your mom/dad/sister/teacher/etc made that anyone overweight is ugly and unhappy about it. It has been etched in your brain that only thin people feel good. As an adult, you want the belief that all people of all types can be happy with who they are. But that core belief keeps sabotaging you and you can't understand why you don't feel good. You can't break out of the rut or funk it causes and break free of the feelings...until you break free of the root of it all. We all have many core beliefs that we picked up through life that need to be unrooted. Once you get to the root of something you will find that it's woven into many aspects of your life, and healing and clearing the root can lead to a positive and dramatic shift. After you play this meditation you can do this one on your own, digging ever deeper into the weeds of thoughts, pulling them out, and replanting them with flowers of hope and joy.
