Truth be told, I have almost the same thing every day for breakfast. Every. Single. Day.
Each morning, I have a slice of sourdough toast with some coconut butter spread on it. Sometimes I'll add hummus or jelly, but mostly it's just the toast. Along with this, I have a faux-latte made with my single cup coffee brewer (my machine steams the milk, hence the "faux latte").
For the most part, I look forward to my morning ritual of toast and coffee. However, today, I felt like I need something different. I wanted to shake things up on this beautiful Sunday morning and so I decided to grab some doughnuts. Mr. T's Delicate Doughnuts tends to get pretty busy, so I headed on over as soon as I got up. There was already a line, but by the time I left it had doubled, so I think I did pretty good!
I grabbed some extra doughnuts for my family, went home, and brewed up my delicious faux-latte. Considering how rarely I eat doughnuts, I was really savoring each bite. I enjoyed them while watching one of my favorite seasonal shows - Christmas Cookie Challenge (my other favorite is Holiday Baking Championship).
And if you also love a cup of coffee and a doughnut, whether once in a while or every day, I highly recommend the podcast Business Wars. They did a season about Dunkin' (formerly known as Dunkin' Doughnuts) and Starbucks and it was so interesting! You can find Business Wars on pretty much any podcast app, or on the Wondery app (which is ad free if you subscribe). I have no connection to Wondery or its shows, I just loved this season, and I think you will too! I'm putting the first episode below so you can check it out. If you get into it, search for "Starbucks Vs Dunkin" on your favorite podcast app!
