Sunday Sunrise

Holy smokes, was there a beautiful sunrise this morning! I'm not usually up early on Sundays, but I was up early today to record tomorrow's podcast since I won't be home. I finished recording, got my coffee, and walked back into my office to see the most incredible orange glow coming through the window.

I went outside, and the sky was filled with radiant oranges and reds. It had rained the night before, and there was still a bit of moisture in the air. The light was hitting the lingering rain clouds just right, and it was one of those visceral, fully present moments - the cool morning air, the moisture on my skin, the glow of the sky.

By the time I went back in and sat down to edit, it was already fading. Within minutes, it was gone. It was such a small window of opportunity, which made it seem that much more special.
