Today I went on one of my favorite drives, which is down Orange Blossom Road in Knight's Ferry. I had a lovely time stopping to take pictures, listening to the birds, and enjoying the fresh air. I'm grateful I had another chance to practice my rusty photography skills. Each time I get out I learn (and re-learn!) so much. I hope you had a wonderful Sunday that rejuvenated and refreshed you also.
With all that's happening, if you're having a hard time relaxing, I'm with you. I recently made a new meditation based on my need to experience deep relaxation. You can learn more about it here. I have always found that a walk through the neighborhood, especially when the sun is out, is a great mood lifter. If you're struggling with some heavy feelings today, and it's possible for you, try to get outside and move around. Take some deep breaths. Listen to the sounds of what's around you. Just let yourself be and take a break from wrestling with whatever's in your mind. You can return to it later with a new perspective and renewed energy.
Good morning and welcome to a new week! I hope on this new day of this new week, you have a chance to spend some time outside feeling the wind on your face. There is something so calming about a cool breeze blowing past my skin, reminding me I'm alive and as much a part of this world as anything else.

Hi! I'm Melissa and this is my blog Take Photo Calm Self.
I have struggled with anxiety and depression my whole life. One thing that has always helped me was taking photos (even if they're amateur). I decided to share these photos with others who might need a moment of calm. Thanks for coming by! Social Media |
